Registering Online to Vote - Voter Information

You can access the OVR Voter Information page to enter your demographic information. If you need assistance, contact your County Voter Registration Office.

To enter your demographic information:

You must have performed the steps for Registering Online to Vote - Eligibility to access the OVR Voter Information page.

Perform the following on the OVR Voter Information page:

If...	Then...
You are re-registering because your name changed...	Click the check here if this is a name change check box. The Previous Voter Registration Name fields are displayed.
You are re-registering because your address changed...	Click the check here if this is an address change check box. The Previous Voter Registration Address fields are displayed.
You are submitting a new voter registration...	Click the check here if this is a new registration check box.

Enter your name and address information as indicated.

If you are unable to complete this application on your own due to a disability and are receiving help, perform the following:

Click the check box to indicate you are receiving assistance submitting the application.

Provide the name, phone number and address of the person assisting you.

Click the continue button.

If...	Then...
You correctly completed all the required fields...	The OVR Voter Verification page is displayed.
You did not complete all the required fields...	A message is displayed indicating required fields must be completed. Complete the required fields and click the continue button.
The information you entered is not in the correct format (e.g., phone number, email address)...	A message is displayed indicating the information must be in the correct format.
The date of birth you entered appears to be incorrect...	A message is displayed indicating your date of birth appears to be incorrect. Verify your date of birth, make corrections if necessary, and click the continue button.

Tip: To close the OVR Voter Information page without completing the registration process, click the cancel button. A confirmation message is displayed. Click the yes button.

In the table below are definitions for the fields and buttons on the OVR Voter Information page.

Term	Definition
Assistance section	The following fields and buttons are in this section: Check here if the applicant is unable to complete this application due to disability, and received help submitting this application check box - If the check box is checked, you received assistance completing and submitting the online voter registration application. You must complete the remaining fields in this section. If the check box is cleared, you did not receive assistance completing and submitting the online voter registration application. City - The city where the Assistant resides. Name - The Assistant's first and last name. Phone - The Assistant's telephone number. State - The state where the Assistant resides. Street - The street where the Assistant resides. ZIP - The Assistant's ZIP code.
Cancel button	Cancels the online registration process, closes the OVR Voter Information page, and displays the IndianaVoters Home page.
Check here if this is an address change check box	If the check box is checked, you are re-registering because your address changed. If the check box is cleared, your address did not change.
Check here if this is a name change check box	If the check box is checked, you are re-registering because your name changed. If the check box is cleared, your name did not change.
Check here if this is a new registration check box	If the check box is checked, you are submitting a new voter registration. If the check box is cleared, you are not submitting a new voter registration.
Continue button	Closes the OVR Voter Information page and displays the OVR Voter Verification page.
Mailing Address section	The following fields and buttons are in this section: Address Line #1 - The first line of your mailing address (e.g., street address). Address Line #2 - The second line of your mailing address (e.g., apartment number). City - The city where your mail is delivered. International Address check box - If the check box is checked, you are in the military and/or reside overseas. The following fields are displayed when this check box is selected: Address Line #1, Address Line #2, Address Line #3, and Country. If the check box is cleared, you are not in the military and do not reside overseas. The following fields are displayed when this check box is cleared: Address Line #1, Address Line #2, City, State, and ZIP. Same as Residence check box - If the check box is checked, your mailing address is the same as your residence address. The mailing address fields are hidden. If the check box is cleared, your mailing address is different from your residence address. The mailing address fields are displayed. State - The state where your mail is delivered. ZIP - The ZIP code where your mail is delivered.
Name section	The following fields and buttons are in this section: Date of Birth - Your date of birth. The field format is MM/DD/CCYY. Email - Your email address. For example, jdoe@mail.com. First Name - Your first name. Gender - Your gender. Select the appropriate radio button. Last Name - Your last name. Middle Name or Initial - Your middle name or initial. Phone - Your telephone number. The field format is 999-999-9999. Suffix - Your name suffix.
Previous Voter Registration Address section	The following fields and buttons are in this section: Address Line #1 - The first line of your address where you previously resided (e.g., street address). Address Line #2 - The second line of your address where you previously resided (e.g., apartment number). County - The county where you previously resided. City - The city where you previously resided. State - The state where you previously resided. ZIP - The ZIP code of your previous residence.
Previous Voter Registration Name section	The following fields and buttons are in this section: First Name - Your previous first name. Last Name - Your previous last name. Middle Name or Initial - Your previous middle name or initial. Suffix - Your previous name suffix.
Residence Address section	The following fields and buttons are in this section: Address Line #1 - The first line of your address where you currently reside (e.g., street address). Address Line #2 - The second line of your address where you currently reside (e.g., apartment number). County - The county where you currently reside. City - The city where you currently reside. State - The state where you currently reside. ZIP - The ZIP code of your current residence.
